As being part of the society, ORIX established the ORIX Social Fund in April 2006 with the goal of continued contribution to society in areas not reached by its business activities including social welfare, support for children and youth who are the bearers of the future, as well as music, culture and arts.
The ORIX Miyauchi Foundation was approved as a public interest incorporated foundation by the Prime Minister on December 1st 2010. We will continue to support social activities and contribute to the realization of a truly affluent society.

Social contribution activities ORIX invites children, and children with disabilities, and families directly affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake to ORIX Buffaloes' regular-season professional baseball games, the ORIX Buffaloes' annual Fan-Fiesta event and aquariums and hotels operated by the ORIX Group.
ORIX has donated small assistive vehicles to care facilities for disabled children throughout Japan on a regular basis since fiscal year 2006.
Besides, ORIX also donated 40 vehicles to the stricken areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in fiscal year 2011 and 2012; more vehicles were donated to institutions in Kanto and Kinki areas in fiscal year 2013.
Support activities overseas ORIX built ORIX Education Development Centers at two schools in northeast Thailand in fiscal years 2007 and 2008. Since fiscal year 2010, ORIX has also provided the Darunee ORIX Scholarship program to children studying at these schools, offering scholarships for students until they graduate from junior high school.
In fiscal year 2013, to support relief efforts of the typhoon-stricken central area of the Philippines, the ORIX Foundation and ORIX METRO Leasing and Finance Corporation, a joint venture in the Philippines, together donated a total of 4.3 million pesos (approx. 10 million yen) to be used for rescue and recovery efforts.
